For a flat fee of $600, we set up your business in QuickBooks correctly from day one. You get a clean chart of accounts, your banks linked, QuickBooks Payroll set up if you need it, and four hours of our time. Half of that time is spent teaching you how to use what we built.
What the $600 covers
- A 2 hour setup meeting. We map out your categories and link your banks and income sources.
- The setup itself. We do a mix of the data entry together with you, then refine your chart of accounts on our own time.
- A 2 hour walkthrough. We show you around QuickBooks and talk through whether you want to run your own books or hand some pieces to us.
What a correct setup gives you
- Bank and credit card accounts synced, so transactions import into QuickBooks cleanly
- A chart of accounts built around how your business earns and spends, so your Profit and Loss reads in an orderly way
- A Cost of Goods section, so you can see what share of sales goes to labor and materials
- Financial reports laid out to help you make decisions, not just file taxes
Why the setup matters
A poor QuickBooks setup does more than look messy. It creates problems that last for months:
- A chart of accounts that hides where your money is going
- Miscategorized transactions that distort your reports
- Duplicate entries from bank feed syncing that throw off your numbers
Many of the Profit and Loss reports we see have no Cost of Goods section at all. Without one, you cannot see the percentage you spend on labor, materials or food. That is often the first number an owner needs.
